These terms apply the moment you download or use ECG Training, so please read them carefully first. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
01An educational tool
ECG Training teaches how to read the canine electrocardiogram. Every tracing in the app is simulated by software; none is the recording of a real animal, and the app does not record, read or interpret the ECG of a patient. Its content was prepared with veterinarians and physiologists, who reviewed and approved it, but it is teaching material and not clinical advice. It does not replace a course of study, a textbook, clinical supervision or the judgement of a qualified veterinarian. Clinical decisions are always the responsibility of the professional who makes them.
02Licence & intellectual property
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use ECG Training on your own devices. You may not copy or modify the app, extract or reverse-engineer its source code, translate it, or create derivative versions. You may not copy, republish or sell its study material. The app, its content and all related trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property remain the property of Javier Miana and Marco Cebrián Muiño.
03Free use & Premium
The simulator can be used free of charge on a normal sinus rhythm. Premium unlocks all the conditions, every control, and Learn and Practice. Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through the App Store or Google Play. The price, and any free trial, is shown there before you pay. The subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before, in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.
04Your account & the leaderboards
Premium and the leaderboards need an account, with Apple or Google sign-in. Your display name and scores are shown to other players, so choose a name that is not offensive and does not pretend to be someone else. We may remove a name or a score that breaks this rule or was obtained by cheating. You can delete your account in the app at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
05No warranty
We work to keep the app accurate and useful, but it is provided as it is. We do not promise that it is free of errors, that it covers every condition or presentation, or that it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, Javier Miana and Marco Cebrián Muiño accept no liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from the use of the app or from reliance on its content, including any clinical decision.
06Your device & network
Signing in, the leaderboards and subscriptions need a network connection; your provider may charge you for data. You're responsible for keeping your device and its system up to date.
07Updates & termination
The app is available for iOS, iPadOS and Android. System requirements may change, and you'll need to install updates to keep using it. We may change the app or its price, and we may stop providing it. We may end your right to use it if you break these terms. On termination, the rights granted to you here end and you must stop using the app.
08Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time, so please check this page periodically. Any changes are effective as soon as they're posted here.
